Pune, July 9, 2025:The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (Mahapareshan) successfully repaired a major fault in its 220kV Infosys-Pegasus extra high voltage transmission line on Wednesday (July 9) at 12:40 PM. With this, normal power supply was restored to all industries and residential areas in Hinjawadi and the surrounding regions.

The fault, which occurred on Sunday (July 6) afternoon near the Hinjawadi Metro Station, had caused an emergency power situation, affecting 52,000 low-tension consumers, 91 high-tension consumers, and two extra high-tension (EHT) consumers — Infosys and Nextra.

To mitigate the crisis, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) worked round-the-clock to restore power through alternate routes for most consumers while Mahapareshan focused on repairing the fault.
