Pune, July 10, 2025: Frustrated by the worsening condition of city roads, citizens of Pune have come together to launch “Pot the Pothole”—a peaceful and symbolic public agitation to be held on 13th July’2025 Sunday  aimed at drawing attention to the dangerous state of roads riddled with potholes.

Adv. Krunnal Gharre, one of the voices behind the campaign, stated:
“Pune’s roads and their so-called maintenance have literally gone to the dogs. The situation is so bad that newly repaired roads don’t even last three months. We have shown this through photographic evidence, yet the authorities continue to feign ignorance. It’s a shame. But Punekars will lead this campaign and show the country that this apathy by administration will no longer be tolerated.”

The campaign involves citizens placing symbolic markers—twigs, branches, paper cut-outs, or artificial plants—inside potholes as visual warnings. This not only highlights the issue but also helps prevent accidents by making the potholes visible to road users. Citizens will identify potholes near them and do symbolic tree plantation.
