Draft Ward Plan Released for Upcoming Rural Body Elections in Pune; Suggestions Accepted Till July 21
Pune, July 16, 2025: The programme for ward formation for the upcoming general elections to the District Council (Zilla Parishad) and Panchayat Samitis has been announced. The details are as follows:
The draft ward formation for electoral divisions and voter lists under 13 Panchayat Samitis of the District Council has been published on July 14, 2025. This information is available on notice boards at the District Collector’s Office Pune, District Council Pune, all Tehsil offices, and all Panchayat Samiti offices in Pune district. It is also accessible on the official website of the District Collector at [www.pune.nic.in](http://www.pune.nic.in).
Objections and suggestions regarding the draft ward formation can be submitted to the District Collector until July 21, 2025. Based on the received inputs, the District Collector will forward proposals along with feedback to the Divisional Commissioner by July 28, 2025.
The Divisional Commissioner will conduct hearings on the received objections and suggestions and take decisions by August 11, 2025. The final ward formation will then be submitted for approval to the State Election Commission or an authorized officer by August 18, 2025.
