Pune: Man Kills Younger Brother with Kitchen Knife After Heated Argument in Bibwewadi

Pune: 35 Year Old Man Killed In Chandan Nagar After Allegedly Telling Accused’s Aunt ‘I Love You’
A domestic dispute in Bibwewadi’s Upper Super Ganeshnagar turned deadly on Monday morning when a 26-year-old man allegedly stabbed his younger brother to death.
The accused, Aniket Dattatray Navale, was arrested by Bibwewadi police for fatally stabbing his 24-year-old brother, Pravin Navale, during a quarrel around 10:30 am.
According to police, Pravin, who was unemployed and struggled with alcoholism, often abused and assaulted family members. The family had been under severe stress, especially as their father is bedridden and their mother works as a domestic help.
Aniket, who works at a private firm and is married with an 11-month-old son, had reportedly been facing growing tension at home. His wife had recently left the house due to Pravin’s behaviour.
On the day of the incident, Aniket tried to confront Pravin about his drinking and aggressive conduct. The argument quickly spiralled out of control, and in a fit of anger, Aniket allegedly stabbed Pravin twice in the stomach with a kitchen knife.
Neighbours, alarmed by the noise, rushed in and called the police. Pravin was taken to Sassoon General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Senior Inspector Ashwini Satpute of Bibwewadi police station confirmed Aniket’s arrest. “The family had been under a lot of pressure due to Pravin’s actions. Aniket acted in the heat of the moment when the argument turned violent,” Satpute said.
Aniket remains in police custody while further investigation is underway.
