Residents of Kumar Suraksha CHS in Parge Nagar in Kondhwa have expressed serious concerns over road safety due to the rampant illegal parking of vehicles on an under-construction PMC road outside their housing society. The stretch, located opposite Omkar Garden in Kondhwa, has become a potential accident zone as parked vehicles obstruct the visibility of motorists trying to enter or exit the society.

Air Commodore Ashok Chhibbar (Retd.), Chairman of Kumar Suraksha, has highlighted the issue in a written complaint to the Kondhwa Traffic Police Station, urging immediate intervention. He pointed out that vehicles parked haphazardly on the incomplete road create a blind spot for drivers, significantly increasing the risk of accidents, especially during peak traffic hours.

“Despite repeated requests, the situation remains unresolved. We are concerned for the safety of residents and commuters. A proactive approach by the authorities is needed to clear the stretch and ensure proper regulation,” said Chhibbar in his communication.

Residents have shared photographic evidence showing how the parked vehicles narrow down the usable road space and hinder smooth movement. They are appealing to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the traffic police to install signage, deploy enforcement teams, and consider barriers or no-parking zones to prevent further misuse of the road.
