Pune Ring Road Land Acquisition: PMRDA Promises Coordination And Fair Compensation For Farmers
Pimpri, July 17, 2025: The land acquisition process for the proposed 65-meter wide Ring Road will be carried out only after holding dialogue and maintaining coordination with the affected farmers, assured Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase. He stated that utmost care would be taken to ensure no farmer suffers losses during the process.
Dr. Mhase interacted with the farmers whose land is set to be acquired for the project during a meeting held on Wednesday at G.D. Madgulkar Hall. He emphasized that the rights and entitlements of farmers would be prioritized. If farmers give their consent for acquisition, they will be entitled to 25% additional compensation from the government.
