RTO Team’s Quick Response Saves Three After Bike Accident On Pune-Kolhapur Highway
Pune | July 22, 2025: A two-wheeler accident near Shindewadi on the Pune-Kolhapur Highway left three people injured on Monday night. Thanks to the swift action of the Regional Transport Office’s Highway Patrol Unit (Road Safety Squad Team No. 3), the victims were rushed to a hospital in the RTO vehicle within the crucial “Golden Hour,” saving all three lives.
The incident occurred around 8:20 PM when the bike skidded and crashed on the divider. On-duty officers Sameer Shirodkar (Inspector of Motor Vehicles), Shweta Narkhedkar (Assistant Inspector), and driver Mahadev Mahale immediately reached the spot.
They found one man and two others severely injured. The team transported all three to Shlok Hospital in Rajgad using an RTO government vehicle. Doctors confirmed that the woman is in stable condition, while the one of them suffered a brain hemorrhage and remains critical.
The officers also alerted local police by dialing the emergency helpline 112. Their prompt and coordinated efforts earned praise from local residents and hospital staff, who lauded the team for their dedication and lifesaving intervention.
