Companies Are Leaving Pune For Hyderabad And Bengaluru Because Of Your Failures": Ajit Pawar Slams Officials During Hinjawadi Visit
Hinjawadi, Pune | July 26, 2025 – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar unleashed a scathing attack on local officials, sarpanchs, and developers during a surprise 6 AM inspection of Hinjawadi IT Park and nearby areas like Marunji and Maan. Furious over the pathetic infrastructure, rampant encroachments, waterlogging, and traffic chaos, Pawar made it clear that the government will no longer tolerate neglect and excuses.
Lashing out, Pawar said, “Companies are shifting base to Hyderabad and Bengaluru because of the mess you’ve created here. Pune is losing its IT edge due to your inaction. Why should I be forced to inspect roads at 6 in the morning while you all sit idle?”
He demanded that immediate FIRs be filed under IPC Section 353 against anyone—officials or civilians—obstructing public works, and warned that even he should not be spared if found guilty. Pawar slammed developers for blocking stormwater drains with illegal buildings, causing massive waterlogging that severely affects daily commuters and IT employees.

Calling the situation shameful, Pawar ordered the swift demolition of all encroachments and fast-tracking of stalled roadworks. He gave PMRDA and MIDC a final warning: clean up the mess or be held accountable.
He also announced plans to set up a special task force to monitor progress, enforce laws, and ensure Hinjawadi regains its status as a world-class IT destination. “Enough talk. Now it’s time for ruthless action,” Pawar declared.
