Traffic Rule: After How Many Challans Can Your Driving License Be Cancelled? Read the Rules
If you break traffic rules again and again, it can lead to the cancellation of your driving license. Getting frequent challans (fines) from the traffic department is a serious matter and should not be ignored.
In India, many people don’t follow traffic rules, which often causes accidents. If you also keep breaking rules, your license might get cancelled.
License Can Be Cancelled After Repeated Challans
The number of challans allowed before cancelling a license depends on the state.
- In many states, if you get 3 challans, your license can be cancelled.
- In some states, if you get more than 5 challans, your license may be cancelled.
Traffic fines are not only given by traffic police but also by CCTV cameras on roads. So, one vehicle can get many challans.
If your license gets cancelled, you will have to pay a fine and apply for a new one. Also, if your license is lost or expired, you need to get a new one.
