Parge Nagar Residents Struggle With Health Hazards as Choked Drainage Line Remains Unresolved
Residents of Parge Nagar, particularly those living near the Kondhwa Police Station, are facing severe health and sanitation issues due to a persistently choked drainage line. The problem has been ongoing for months, resulting in foul odours, spillage of dirty water on the main road, and frequent traffic disruptions.
Despite several complaints to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), residents allege that no permanent solution has been implemented. Temporary measures such as cleaning or minor repairs have failed to address the root cause, leading to the drainage line getting blocked repeatedly.

Locals have expressed growing frustration over the situation, stating that the stagnant and overflowing sewage poses serious health risks, especially for children and the elderly. “The stench is unbearable, and the dirty water often spills on the road causing dangerous driving conditions,” said a resident.
