Pune, August 6, 2025 – In view of ongoing construction work for the Bhide Wada Memorial — the site of India’s first school for girls — the Pune Traffic Department has announced a significant traffic change. Vehicular movement near Budhwar Chowk on Shivaji Road will be completely restricted at night to facilitate the memorial’s construction.

According to the Faraskhana Traffic Division, traffic on Shivaji Road will remain closed between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM from August 2 to August 25, 2025. Commuters are advised to use the alternative routes specified below.
