Pune, August 7, 2025 – Panic spread in Hinjawadi IT Park on Wednesday afternoon when National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, along with crime branch and local police, suddenly arrived at the Infosys campus. Their presence, accompanied by heightened security measures and armed personnel, sparked rumors of a terrorist attack, causing fear among employees and locals.

Employees, caught off guard, contacted family members and posted alarming messages on social media. Parents and others tried to reach out to companies for confirmation, leading to further confusion and crowding near the company gate.

However, police soon clarified that the activity was part of a pre-planned mock drill to assess emergency preparedness and coordination between security agencies and IT companies. The drill was conducted under strict secrecy to simulate a real-life crisis scenario.
