Pune: Janmashtami Celebrations Held At Geeta AshramÂ
Pune, August 18, 2025: Geeta Ashram Pune which is also a spiritual center for seekers celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm in Gurukul Pimpri and Khadki, Pune, on Saturday 16th August 2025. Geeta Ashram, Pune was established in 1998 by some of the followers of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa. Following the ancient and rich spiritual heritage of India, the organization is dedicated to serving the community and spreading the message of “Naraseva Narayana Seva.” ( Service to Humanity is Service to God.)
For Janmashtami, in the morning the venue was Gurukul Pimpri where at the outset there was chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. This was followed by the Darshan and blessings of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji .Guruji gave a special discourse and distributed holy thread and prasadam to all devotees.
In the Evening the venue of the program was at Geeta Ashram, Khadki . The ashram was beautifully decorated, and a grand celebration took place with elaborate rituals and special prayers dedicated to Lord Krishna. Devotees present at the event received special blessings and the holy Prasadam.
The ashram offers spiritual teachings and discourses on the principles found in the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, and other spiritual scriptures. Throughout the year, the organization hosts various activities, including pujas, religious festivals, bhajans, yoga, pranayama classes, and spiritual guidance in fields like astrology. They are also committed to promoting the Sanskrit language and run the Gurukul Sanskrit Academy, where students from various regions and age groups learn Sanskrit.
