Mumbai, August 21, 2025: In a major relief for devotees travelling to Konkan for Ganeshotsav 2025, the Maharashtra government has announced toll-free travel on key highways from August 23 to September 8, 2025.

The decision, declared by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, will apply to vehicles and ST buses using the Mumbai-Bengaluru National Highway, Mumbai-Goa National Highway, and roads under the Public Works Department (PWD) and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

To avail of this benefit, a special pass titled “Ganeshotsav 2025 – Konkan Darshan” will be issued. These passes will carry details of the vehicle number and owner, and will be available through Regional Transport Offices (RTOs), police departments, and traffic authorities. The same pass will be valid for the return journey as well.
