Pune: FYJC ‘Open To All’ Admission Round Extended Till September 9
Pune: The First Year Junior College (FYJC) online admission process for the academic year 2025-26 has received an extension for its special ‘Open to All’ round. Initially held on August 29, the round has now been stretched until September 9, providing students another chance to confirm their seats.
In this round, seats were allocated based on student preferences across streams. According to official figures, 10,747 seats were allotted in the arts stream, 11,719 in commerce, and 16,387 in science.
By September 2, a total of 37,074 students had confirmed admissions by reporting to their allotted colleges. Of these, 34,295 admissions were secured through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds, while 2,779 students were admitted under various quota categories.
Despite this progress, many students were still undecided about their admissions, prompting the authorities to extend the window once again. This marks the second extension of the special round, aimed at ensuring no student misses the opportunity to secure a seat in their preferred stream.
The updated schedule and detailed instructions for the admission process have been made available on the official FYJC admission portal. Students who have yet to finalise their admissions are encouraged to do so within the new deadline.
