Pune: Six MSEDCL Offices Awarded ISO-9001-2015 Certification
Pune, September 4, 2025 – In a first, six offices of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under Pune division have simultaneously received the prestigious ISO-9001-2015 certification.
The certified offices include the Pune Division Office, Rasta Peth City Division, Ganeshkhind City Division, Civil Division, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), and Hadapsar Sub-Division Office. The certification was granted based on criteria such as administrative efficiency, implementation of schemes, customer service, infrastructure facilities, and electricity bill recovery.

The award distribution ceremony was held on Wednesday (September 3) at the Rasta Peth office. MSEDCL Director (HR) Rajendra Pawar presided over the event, while Regional Director Bhujang Khandare, ISO Lead Assessor Nandkumar Deshmukh, and Chief Engineer Sunil Kakde were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said MSEDCL employees have displayed commendable capacity during emergencies, and the same dedication should be extended toward customer service to bring about positive changes. He stressed that while achieving ISO certification is important, maintaining and sustaining it is equally crucial. He also urged staff to treat customers courteously, respect women and senior citizens, and adhere to deadlines set by the regulatory commission.

In a notable achievement, the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) has become the first in the country to receive ISO certification. CGRF Chairperson Mahendra Diwakar emphasized customer grievance redressal and consumer awareness, a point also highlighted by ISO inspector Deshmukh.
The certification was accepted by the respective office heads: Chief Engineer Sunil Kakde, Superintending Engineers Dnyaneshwar Padalkar, Sinhajirao Gaikwad, and Sanjeev Nehete, CGRF Chairperson Mahendra Diwakar, and Additional Executive Engineer of Hadapsar Sub-Division Vishnu Pawar.
