Pune, September 7, 2025 — The famous Kalawant Dhol-Tasha Pathak, which includes several popular Marathi film and television actors, faced a disappointing experience during this year’s Ganesh Visarjan procession in Pune.
The group, known for its energetic performances, had been invited by the Market Yard Ganesh Mandal to perform during the immersion procession.
As per schedule, the entire troupe was ready at 6 pm to begin the performance. However, due to the heavy congestion on Tilak Road, the procession failed to move forward even an inch for hours.
In an official statement shared on their social media account, the troupe expressed regret, “A disheartening experience! Despite being ready at the allotted time, the procession did not progress. By 9 pm, we had no choice but to conclude our performance with a final salute and flag hoisting. We sincerely apologize to the many who had eagerly gathered to watch us. We’ll see you again at the next festival. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
