Announces Distinguished Line-Up of Professionals—amateurs, Juniors, and Caddies

Pune, September 9, 2025: In a one-of-a-kind gesture Poona Club Golf course has decided to celebrate its golfers, both professionals and amateurs, and not to be left behind are the caddies, who play a significant role in refining the playing skills of golfers with on-field instructions. The Poona Club on Tuesday announced that it would support the golfing journeys of its promising golfers who have excelled at various levels and brought laurels to the club and its culture.

Golf Captain Jay Shirke Said that, “The diversity of success—across men’s, women’s, and amateur circuits—speaks volumes about the depth of talent at Poona Club.”

Unveiling its official roster of players and support staff across all categories, the President of Poona Club Ltd., Gaurav Gadhoke, said that the brilliance of our professionals and the promise of our amateurs reflect the strength of Poona Club’s golfing culture.

“Their achievements place our Club on the national map in a resounding way,” he added.

 With the intention of fostering the next generation of champions, The Poona Golf Course has unveiled its official roster, which showcases a blend of seasoned professionals, emerging amateurs, and rising junior talents.

Leading the professional contingent are Udayan Mane, Rohan Dhole Patil, Pranav Mardikar, Divyansh Dubey, Ananya Garg, Mannat Brar, Gurki Shergill. These accomplished players have brought with them experience, skill, and determination, representing the highest standards of the sport.

Mr. Indraneel Mujgule, Vice-President Poona Club Ltd said that, “It is remarkable to see such a balance—established names like Udyan and Pranav delivering big finishes, while our amateur contingent produces exciting future stars.”

Lady Golf Captain Padmaja Shirke had this to say: “The rise of young women golfers like Ananya and Mannat is especially encouraging. We are proud to support them in their journeys.” Mr.Ikram Khan, Advisor to GSC and Caddies Welfare, Mr.Shashank Halbe, Mr.Aditya Kanitkar, Mr. Manish Mehta, Mr.Tushar Aswani were present on the occassion.

The Poona Club’s meritorious golfers

Professionals Leading the

Udayan Mane: one of India’s most consistent and accomplished professionals. He Finished 9th on the PGTI Order of Merit. He has multiple Top-10 finishes across the season, which reaffirms his standing among India’s elite professionals. In the 2025 season, he is currently 3rd on the PGTI Order of Merit.

Rohan Dhole-Patil: He was ranked No.1 amateur from 2019 to 2021. He consistently finished in top top 60 on the order of merit in the past three years. he has five top-10 finishes in 2024. Ended the season on 34th on the order on merit and is currently ranked 49th with one top-10 finish in this season.

Pranav Mardikar: A consistent performer on the PGTI circuit, Pranav concluded the 2024 season ranked 55th on the PGTI Merit List and has already climbed to 47th in 2025, securing two Top-10 finishes this season. His steady progression underscores his determination and growing presence in professional golf.

Divyansh Dubey:  At just 21 years, Divyansh has already become  a India’s most promising professional golfers on the PGTI circuit after starting to play the sport when he was 12, and he quickly rose through the junior ranks. As he  grabbed North Zone Feeder Tour Junior Order of Merit and then won Eastern India Junior Championship at Tollygunge Golf Club

Ananya Garg: She turned professional in January 2024 at just 16 years and has  already established herself as one of India’s most exciting young golfers.  Her breakthrough came at the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2024 (Ladies European Tour), where she competed against 114 professional golfers from 31 countries and finished Tied-46, making the cut in her maiden international appearance.

In her rookie season on the WGAI Tour (2024), Ananya secured two Top-5 finishes, six Top-10 finishes, and ranked 9th on the Order of Merit, earning the prestigious Hero WGAI Rookie of the Year Award.

Building on this success, her 2025 season has seen her continue her rise with multiple podium finishes — including 1 runner-up, 1 second runner-up, 2 additional Top-5s, and 5 Top-10s — placing her 11th in the current WGAI Order of Merit. She also broadened her competitive experience by participating in the Sunshine Tour in South Africa.
