According to the IMD, the prevailing weather conditions are driven by a low-pressure system over north Telangana and adjoining Vidarbha, extending into south Madhya Maharashtra. “For the next two days, widespread rain is likely in Konkan and Goa, including Mumbai, along with Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha,” the bulletin stated.

Meanwhile, three of the four dams supplying water to Pune recorded rainfall in their catchment areas: Varasgaon (21 mm), Panshet (20 mm) and Temghar (3 mm). The combined water storage of the four dams is now at 29.09 TMC, or 99.79% of their total capacity.
