Pune, September 23, 2025 – A joint encroachment clearance operation was carried out in the Keshavnagar area under the Hadapsar–Mundhwa Regional Office. The drive, conducted by the encroachment removal and construction departments, cleared illegal structures along the stretch from Mantra Society to Renuka Mata Mandir Chowk.

During the action, temporary and permanent constructions, including shops, hotels, sheds, and roadside encroachments, were demolished and removed. The operation was executed under the orders of Deputy Commissioner of Encroachment Department, Sandeep Khalate, and Hadapsar Ward Office Assistant Commissioner Balasaheb Dhawale Patil.

The team comprised Encroachment Inspector Ganesh Taru, Inspector Rakesh Kachi, and assistant inspectors from Circle 1 and 4, supported by 20 Maharashtra Security Force personnel, three police staffers, and employees from multiple regional offices including Wanawadi–Ramtekdi, Kondhwa–Yeolewadi, Dhole Patil, Yerwada–Kalas–Dhanori, and Nagar Road.

Heavy machinery was deployed, including seven open trucks, three JCBs, and two cage vehicles. The officials seized 13 counters, 10 refrigerators, three cylinders, and three handcarts, while dismantling 67 tin sheds in front of shops.

Encroachment Inspector Rakesh Kachi stated that similar drives would continue regularly to keep roads and footpaths free from illegal structures.
