NDRF Teams Continue Overnight Rescue Operations in Beed, Dharashiv, and Solapur – Hundreds of Lives Saved
Solapur, 24 September 2025 – Continuous heavy rainfall across several districts of Maharashtra has led to a flood-like situation. In response to the request by the local administration, teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in Beed, Dharashiv, and Solapur districts under the close supervision of Unit Commandant Shri Santosh Bahadur Singh. NDRF personnel have been tirelessly carrying out rescue and relief operations since last night.
➡ Beed District – In the Sadas Chinchole area of Majalgaon tehsil, the NDRF team conducted a rescue operation throughout the night to evacuate people trapped by rising floodwaters. By morning, a newborn baby and a woman were safely rescued. So far, a total of 39 people have been safely evacuated from various affected areas of the district.

➡ Dharashiv District – In Kapilapuri village, people were trapped inside their homes due to severe flooding. Despite challenging conditions, the NDRF team worked overnight and successfully rescued 182 citizens.
➡ Solapur District – The situation remained critical here as well. The NDRF team worked non-stop through the night and safely rescued 82 citizens so far. Assistance was also extended to move domestic animals to safer locations.
➡ Ahilya Nagar District –The situation remained critical here as well. The NDRF team began rescue operations in the evening and has so far rescued 17 people in the Karjat Tehsil.
The timely deployment and swift action of NDRF teams have been widely appreciated by the local administration and affected residents, who credited their efforts for preventing major loss of life.
