Paschim Pune Bangiya Parishad Celebrates Bengali Heritage With Vibrant Durga Puja In West Pune
Pune, September 24, 2025: Paschim Pune Bangiya Parishad (PPBP) is more than just a club—it’s a home away from home for Bengalis in western Pune, and for anyone who feels called by Bengal’s language, art, and spirit.
Established around 2004 when a few friends gathered in a “ghoroa adda” with 8 Bhadro Lok, PPBP was founded as a non-profit social and cultural collective to nurture Bengali heritage, language, and culture.
Over its twenty years-plus of work, PPBP has grown into a symbol of unity, belonging, and cultural pride. Its mission is to bridge the old and the new—helping younger generations stay rooted in the rich traditions of Bengal while also embracing life in modern Pune.

The Durga Pujo organised by PPBP is a radiant expression of this ethos. With devotion, authenticity, and artistry, PPBP celebrates Pujo not just as a festival but as a living tradition—bringing people together in joy, art, language, and song.
The festival becomes a space where Bengali folktales, music, dance, eco-friendly décor, literature, food, and rituals all meet to remind every visitor of home—even if that home is many miles away.
