Pune: Youth Athletes Secure Top Honors At Zonal Rifle Championship 2025
Pimpri-Chinchwad, September 30, 2025 – The Zonal Level School Rifle Shooting Championship 2025-26, organized jointly by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and Zilla Parishad Pune, concluded successfully at the Swami Vivekanand Sports Complex in Chinchwad. The four-day event, held from September 24 to 27, witnessed intense competition among budding sharpshooters from across the region.
Athletes from the Excellence Shooting Sports Club, Pimple Saudagar, delivered an impressive performance, securing a total of four medals across various age groups and categories.
The club’s medal winners included:
- Nishad Mahajan – Gold in U-14 Boys Air Pistol
- Vedantik Jadhav – Silver in U-14 Girls Air Pistol
- Anushree Jadhav – Bronze in U-14 Girls Air Pistol
- Gojiri Ghadge – Bronze in U-17 Girls Peep Sight Air Rifle
The remarkable achievements of these young shooters reflect the dedicated guidance of Chief Coach Saurabh Salavane and Assistant Coach Tejas Waghre, whose mentorship played a pivotal role in preparing the athletes for high-level competition.
