Pune: Residents Of Amit Colori Phase 1 Society In Undri Show Gratitude To Community Helpers
Undri, Pune, October 1, 2025: In a heartwarming initiative that’s redefining community care, residents of Amit Colori Phase 1 have come together to support the daily distribution of bananas to society’s domestic helpers, security guards, housekeeping staff, school bus staff, and other support personnel.
Every morning, over 24 kilograms of bananas are distributed with love and respect, ensuring that more than 100 individuals receive two nutritious bananas each. This simple act of kindness is not just about food—it’s about dignity, gratitude, and community spirit.
A key person Sanjay Jadhav, a local fruit wholesaler who ensures uninterrupted supply of bananas before 7 AM every morning, making the entire effort seamless and reliable. Equally inspiring is Shambhusen, age 69, resident of the society, who personally carries out the banana distribution from 7 AM to 9:30 AM every day, embodying the spirit of service and dedication.

What makes this initiative truly special is its crowdfunding model. Residents contribute generously on personal milestones such as Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, and other family celebrations, turning their joy into nourishment for others.
“We wanted to celebrate our special days by making someone else’s day better,” says one of the key contributors. “Bananas are simple, healthy, and universally liked. It’s a small gesture with a big impact.”
The initiative has not only improved the morale of the support staff but has also strengthened the bond between residents and those who serve them daily. Many helpers have expressed their gratitude, saying they feel seen, valued, and cared for.
This is more than just a distribution drive. It’s a movement of compassion, proving that when communities come together, even the simplest acts can create ripples of change.
