Pune: PMC Removes 2,500 Unauthorized Flex Banners In City-Wide Drive
Pune, October 3, 2025: In a major city-wide operation, Pune authorities commenced an early morning drive at 5 AM today to remove unauthorized flex banners and hoardings across the city. The action targeted illegal advertising boards installed without permission, spanning 15 regional office jurisdictions.
During the operation, officials successfully removed around 2,500 unauthorized flex banners, sending a strong message about compliance with municipal regulations. Authorities emphasized that the drive is a continuous effort, and similar operations will be conducted regularly to keep the city free of illegal advertisements.

City officials have also warned that any future unauthorized flex banners installed will not only be removed but will also invite penal action and fines, in line with municipal laws. The move aims to decongest streets, reduce visual pollution, and maintain the aesthetic appeal of Pune while ensuring adherence to safety norms.
Municipal officials have requested residents, shopkeepers, and advertising agencies to cooperate with the authorities and ensure that all banners and hoardings are legally approved before installation.
The campaign reflects Pune’s ongoing commitment to clean, organized, and regulated urban spaces.
