Pune: Maha-Metro MD Shravan Hardikar Takes Additional Charge As PCMC Commissioner, Arrives At Office By Metro
Pimpri, October 10, 2025: On the 43rd anniversary of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, ‘Maha-Metro’ Managing Director Shravan Hardikar took the additional charge of the post of Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation. Notably, he entered the Municipal Corporation by metro on this occasion and showed his faith in the city’s public transport.
The outgoing Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Shekhar Singh, has recently been appointed as the Nashik Kumbh Mela Commissioner. Hardikar has been given the additional charge of the Municipal Commissioner in Singh’s place. Today, on the occasion of the Municipal Corporation’s anniversary, Hardikar came to the main administrative building of the Municipal Corporation and took the charge.
After arriving at the Municipal Corporation, Commissioner Hardikar first paid tribute to the full-length statue of the sculptor of Pimpri Chinchwad city, former MP and Mayor, the late Annasaheb Magar. MLA Amit Gorkhe was also present on the occasion.

Various games including tug-of-war and musical chair were organized by the Municipal Corporation for officers and employees. Commissioner Shravan Hardikar and MLA Amit Gorkhe participated in the tug-of-war and musical chair games and enjoyed the program.
After that, Hardikar started the work by holding a meeting with Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Trupti Sandbhor and various department heads and officers of the Municipal Corporation in the Commissioner’s Hall on the fourth floor of the main administrative building.

After assuming charge as Commissioner, Commissioner Hardikar said, ‘Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is one of the fastest developing cities in the state. The city is continuously making progress in the areas of cleanliness, infrastructure, traffic management, environmental conservation and digital administration. Against this backdrop, we will strive to provide citizen-oriented administration by setting new directions for city development with the cooperation of citizens and municipal officers and employees.’
