YouTuber, Son Arrested For Raping Minor In BengalBased on the complaint lodged by the minor girl, the accused YouTuber and his minor son were arrested on Sunday.
In West Bengal, Parganas district, a YouTuber named Arabinda Mandal and his minor son were arrested on October 13, 2025, for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 15-year-old girl. The father and son had lured the girl by promising to feature her in video reels for their popular channels, which have millions of followers.
The victim, a Class 9 student, helped Mandal and his son create content for several months. During this time, the two secretly filmed her while she was changing clothes. They allegedly used these private videos and photos to blackmail her into silence while repeatedly raping her.
On October 7, the girl confided in her family about the repeated sexual abuse and blackmail. Her family, who were neighbors of the accused, filed a formal complaint with the Haroa police. The victim’s father is a police officer with the Kolkata Police.
Based on the family’s complaint, police arrested Mandal and his son on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The arrests were made under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Mandal was remanded to police custody, while his son was sent to a juvenile correctional facility by the Basirhat sub-divisional court.
According to police sources, Mandal’s son also put vermillion (sindoor) on the girl’s forehead during one instance, to falsely imply marriage before assaulting her. Police have seized electronic devices, including phones and cameras, from the accused as part of their investigation
