Pune: A prompt action saved a life today. At Bund Garden Police Station jurisdiction, a 17-year-old girl, a resident of Mundhwa Special Child Care Home, was brought to Sassoon Hospital for a medical check-up. While there, she reportedly attempted to leave and threatened to take her own life by climbing onto the Tukaram Shinde building near the hospital premises.

Upon receiving the information, Assistant Police Inspector Ganesh Chavan of the station immediately rushed to the spot. Through timely intervention and careful communication, the officer was able to prevent the girl from committing suicide and safely take her into custody.

The quick response and sensitive handling of the situation ensured that the minor was unharmed.
