Pune Police: 17 Police Inspectors Transferred On The First Day Of Diwali

Pune, October 17, 2025: On the very first day of Diwali, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced the transfer of 17 police inspectors across various police stations and departments in the city. The reshuffle took place as part of an internal administrative reorganization within the Pune Police.
Below is the list of transferred officers along with their current and new postings:
- Kanchan Jadhav: Senior Police Inspector, Vishrantwadi → Police Inspector, Crime Branch
- Ravindra Shelke: Senior Police Inspector, Yerawada → Police Inspector, Traffic Branch
- Maya Deore: Senior Police Inspector, Mundhwa → Police Inspector, Crime Branch
- Sunil Pandharkar: Control Room → Police Inspector, Economic Offences Wing (EOW)
- Vijay Tikole: Special Branch → Traffic Branch
- Ajay Sankeshwari: Control Room → Special Branch
- Santosh Sonawane: Control Room → Crime Branch
- Sandipan Pawar: Special Branch → Crime Branch
- Arun Hajare: Control Room → Economic Offences Wing
- Gurudutt More: Nanded City Police Station → Special Branch
- Dattaram Bagwe: Vishrantwadi Police Station → Crime Branch
- Anjum Bagwan: Crime Branch → Senior Police Inspector, Yerawada

Additionally, Santosh Pandhare has been appointed as the Senior Police Inspector at Bund Garden Police Station.
This reshuffle comes as part of the department’s efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and ensure better law enforcement across the city.
