Pimpri, October 17, 2025: As part of the preparations for the upcoming general elections of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the process of dividing the voter list ward-wise will commence from October 18, 2025. Officers appointed for this task — enumerators, booth-level officers (BLOs), and supervisors — have been given special training regarding the division of voter lists. Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhle Patil has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the staff carrying out this work.

The training program was conducted at Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad. Assistant Commissioner of the Election Department, Avinash Shinde, provided detailed training on the process of voter list division. Smart City CEO Kiranraj Yadav, Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Authorised Officer Kiran Kumar More, Deputy Director of Town Planning Prashant Shimpi, Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad, along with zonal officers, executive engineers, supervisors, booth-level officers, and enumerators, were present.

Additional Commissioner Jambhle Patil stated that the process will be carried out according to the guidelines of the State Election Commission, based on the final assembly voter list as of July 1, 2025. The lists have been received by the Municipal Corporation, and the ward-wise division will now take place. Enumerators, BLOs, and supervisors are expected to work in coordination to ensure timely completion as per the Commission’s schedule. He emphasized that the task is both crucial and responsible, and strict adherence to the State Election Commission’s guidelines is mandatory.

He further clarified that no leave will be granted to officers or staff during this period, and disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found negligent in their duties. Jambhle Patil appealed to citizens to extend full cooperation to officials and enumerators visiting their areas and to provide accurate and necessary information.

Avinash Shinde conducted a computer-based presentation, explaining the roles and responsibilities of enumerators, BLOs, and supervisors in detail. He instructed all teams to complete the voter list division strictly according to ward boundaries within the given timeframe. The voter lists of 32 wards under PCMC, covering the assembly constituencies of Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari, and part of Bhor, will be prepared accordingly.
