From Soan Papdi to air fryers, a viral Diwali video sparks envy, laughter, and online banter across the corporate world.

A video showing employees proudly displaying their Diwali gifts including an air fryer and a small box has gone viral on social media, stirring both amusement and envy online. The clip, shared on Instagram with the caption “If you’re still getting Soan Papdi, please resign,” shows workers dressed in traditional attire holding up their gifts with evident pride.

Office Diwali celebrations are often limited to sweets, chocolates, or small hampers. But this company’s gift choices seemed to break the mould, instantly drawing the internet’s attention. Netizens flooded the comments section with humour and disbelief. One user quipped, “Mere HR bole AI hai,” while another asked, “Apki company me hiring kab shuru ho rhi?”

Some users compared their own workplaces’ modest offerings with the lavish-looking presents in the video. “Aur agar Soan Papdi bhi na mile toh kya karna chaiye?” one joked, while another wrote, “Bold of you to assume that some companies even give Soan Papdi.” Others took a darkerly humorous turn, with one comment reading, “90% of corporate slaves have gone into depression after viewing such reels.” Even Swiggy Instamart joined the fun, replying simply: “Bare minimum yaar.”

The reactions also revealed how small gestures can mean a lot. One user commented, “From ₹4k to ₹5k VIP trolleys to ₹3k Agaro air fryers these workers are celebrating like they won a lottery! All this happiness for something worth less than 10% of their salary… true example of small gifts, big emotions.”

Interestingly, this trend of generous Diwali gifting isn’t isolated. Recently, Info Edge, a well-known Indian tech firm, made headlines for its Diwali spree, where employees flaunted gifts ranging from VIP suitcase sets to decorative diyas and boxes, showing that some offices still know how to make their employees feel special during the festival of lights.
