Pune, October 19, 2025: Commuters on the Pune Station–Katraj route are facing major inconvenience as PMPML buses reportedly avoid climbing the Gangadham hill stretch, forcing passengers to disembark midway and walk uphill despite paying for full tickets.

Local residents have expressed frustration, stating that this problem has persisted for several days. The buses often halt before the hill, compelling senior citizens, pregnant women, and daily travelers to make the steep walk on foot.

“It’s extremely difficult for elderly and pregnant passengers to walk such a steep incline, especially under the sun,” said one regular commuter.

Citizens have questioned why PMPML continues to issue tickets for the full journey when buses are not completing their routes. They have urged the transport authority to take prompt action and restore full service on the Gangadham route to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers.
