Businessman gifts 51 luxury cars to employees for Diwali, continues tradition for third year
Chandigarh-based entrepreneur says the gesture is about gratitude, not showmanship—calls his team the backbone of his success.
Chandigarh-based industrialist and social worker MK Bhatia has once again made headlines this Diwali by gifting luxury cars to his employees and celebrity team members. This marks the third consecutive year of his unique tradition, solidifying his reputation for extraordinary festive generosity.
This year, Bhatia set a new personal record by gifting 51 brand-new luxury cars. Calling it his “car gifting half-century” in a light-hearted tone, he said the initiative was meant to celebrate the dedication of his team. After receiving the cars, employees took out a “Car Gift Rally” from the showroom across the city—drawing massive public attention and going viral on social media.
When asked why he gifts such expensive cars every year, Bhatia gave an emotional reply.
“My associates are the backbone of my pharmaceutical companies. Their hard work, honesty, and dedication are the true reason behind our success. Recognising their efforts and keeping them motivated is my only purpose,” he said.
Bhatia added that this is not an act for publicity but a gesture to strengthen team spirit and build a family-like environment within the organisation. “When the team is happy, the company grows on its own,” he said.
His car gifting videos and photos have been widely shared online, with many praising the initiative as an inspiring example of modern corporate culture.
