Love Triangle Turns Violent: 19-Year-Old Girl Attacked with Chopper in Hinjewadi, Three Held
Nasrapur Child Murder Case: Post-Mortem Report Reveals Disturbing Details, Probe Intensifies
An 19-year-old girl was seriously injured after being attacked with a chopper in Pune’s Hinjewadi area on Saturday evening. Police said the attack happened because of a love affair dispute.
The incident took place around 4:15 pm in Sakhre Vasti, Hinjawadi. Police have detained three people — the girl’s boyfriend Yogesh Bhalerao, his friend Prem Laxman Waghmare, and a minor boy — for their involvement in the attack.
According to police, Yogesh and the girl were in a relationship for a few years. Yogesh, who is married, wanted to marry her after his wife left him when she found out about the affair. When Yogesh learned that the girl had started seeing another man, he became angry and, along with his friends, attacked her with a chopper.
The girl suffered injuries on her face, hands, and other parts of her body. Locals took her to a nearby hospital, and doctors said her condition is stable.
Assistant Police Commissioner Kurhade and Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare from Hinjawadi Police Station confirmed that all three accused are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
