Pune, November 1, 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert predicting light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms across several parts of Maharashtra over the next 24 hours. Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail in most regions at the start of November, marking a shift in the weather pattern across the state.

According to the forecast, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada regions are likely to experience light to moderate showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning in isolated areas. The IMD has urged residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions during this period.

In the Konkan region, including Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, skies will remain cloudy with intermittent rainfall. Mumbai is expected to record a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 25°C.

In Western Maharashtra, cities such as Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, and nearby ghat areas may witness light to moderate showers. Pune is likely to see temperatures around 30°C (maximum) and 21°C (minimum).

The Marathwada region, covering Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv, may experience thunderstorms with light rain. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the maximum temperature may hover around 30°C, with a minimum of 23°C.

In North Maharashtra, including Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, and Ahmednagar, cloudy skies and light to moderate rain are expected. Nashik is likely to record 28°C (maximum) and 21°C (minimum).

Meanwhile, the Vidarbha region — covering Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal — will see mostly cloudy conditions, but no rainfall is expected. Nagpur is predicted to have a maximum temperature of 30°C and a minimum of 23°C.

The IMD noted that increasing humidity levels across the state could bring a temporary dip in temperatures. Citizens are advised to take care of their health as weather fluctuations may cause discomfort or seasonal ailments.
