Pune, November 6, 2025 — Cantabile, Pune’s acclaimed performing arts institute, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special musical concert titled ‘One Voice’. The event will feature performances by Cantabile’s two choirs: the adult Bel Canto Choir and the children’s Bel Cantilena Choir.

The concert is scheduled for November 16, 2025, at the Sakal Lalit Kalaghar Theatre Academy, Maharashtriya Mandal, Gate No. 1, Mukund Nagar Road (Opposite Bank of Maharashtra). The program begins at 6:30 p.m.. Donation-based tickets are available at CT Pundole, MG Road, Pune, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

Founded in 2015 by Ferieda Havewala (nee Postwalla), Cantabile has become a cornerstone of Pune’s performing arts scene. With over 35 years of experience as a music and drama educator, Havewala has performed extensively as a pianist and soprano, and the institute reflects her vision of nurturing musical talent in the community. The name “Cantabile” comes from the Italian term meaning “in a singing style,” embodying the institute’s focus on expressive musical training.

Cantabile offers piano classes for all ages and conducts programs in speech, drama, and communication skills. Its Bel Canto Choir brings together adult singers from diverse backgrounds, while the Bel Cantilena Choir comprises children aged 5 to 15 from schools across Pune. Both choirs regularly perform in concerts to support charitable causes, including juvenile diabetics, old age homes, differently-abled girls, and other nonprofits.

This year’s concert aims to showcase the rich diversity of global music, with songs in multiple languages celebrating traditions and stories from around the world. The performance emphasizes unity through music, reminding audiences that while there are many voices, together they form “one voice”, conveying the universal language of song.
