According to officials, the plan focuses on implementing both short-term and long-term strategies to ensure smoother vehicular movement across critical junctions. The departments are working in coordination to resolve persistent traffic bottlenecks that have been affecting daily commuters.
Key measures include widening of narrow roads, redesigning of major junctions, and the removal of encroachments that obstruct the free flow of traffic. Authorities have also prioritized improving road signage and optimizing traffic signal timings to enhance overall efficiency.
To ensure better ground management, additional traffic personnel have been deployed at high-traffic zones during peak hours. The use of technology, such as CCTV monitoring and traffic analytics, is also being expanded to help regulate flow more effectively.
Officials believe that these initiatives will not only ease congestion but also reduce travel time and improve commuter safety. The coordinated efforts reflect the administration’s commitment to enhancing Pune’s urban mobility infrastructure.
The traffic department has appealed to citizens to cooperate with ongoing works and follow traffic regulations to help make Pune’s roads safer and more efficient for everyone.
