Pune: Property Tax Relief Likely For 32 Merged Villages As NCP Proposes 35% Rate Reduction
Pune, November 8, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the implementation of the Abhay Yojana 2025-26.(Amnesty Scheme), a scheme providing significant relief to property owners with pending dues. Under this initiative, taxpayers will receive a 75% waiver on penalties imposed for overdue property taxes.
The scheme will be effective from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026, giving citizens a two-month window to settle their outstanding dues. The PMC has appealed to all property owners in the city to take advantage of this opportunity and clear their arrears during the given period.
However, property owners who availed benefits under previous Abhay Yojanas in 2015-16, 2016-17, 2020-21, or 2021-22 will not be eligible for the current scheme.
Citizens can make payments either online through [propertytax.punecorporation.org](https://propertytax.punecorporation.org) or offline at PMC’s Citizen Facilitation Centers, as well as through Bank of Maharashtra, ICICI Bank, Janata Sahakari Bank, and Cosmos Bank.
All Citizen Facilitation Centers will remain open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays throughout the scheme period to assist taxpayers.
PMC Commissioner Naval Kishor Ram has issued the official appeal on behalf of Pune Municipal Corporation.
