Pune, November 10, 2025: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has filed an FIR against two contract marketing executives, Rajan Madhukar Lingayat (Dhanakwadi, Pune) and Gaurav Kulkarni (Kothrud, Pune), for negligence, misleading actions, and misuse of software during their tenure.

The complaint, lodged by PMPML’s legal officer Gyanoba Jadhav, was registered at Swargate Police Station under FIR No. 317/2025. The executives were responsible for managing PMPML’s software systems including Cargo FL, Payu Dashboard, mobile app, and revenue passwords.

Between August and September 2025, the QR code ticketing system they managed malfunctioned, causing significant inconvenience to passengers and resulting in a drop in the corporation’s revenue. The two had previously been removed from their positions, with their contracts terminated due to work-related issues.

The complaint highlights that Lingayat and Kulkarni misused official software data and passwords, used PMPML’s email and website without authorization, and failed to return laptops, tablets, computers, and other equipment provided to them by the transport corporation.

As a result, the Swargate Police registered a case against them under IPC Sections 314, 3(5), and 69. PMPML has emphasized that the action aims to prevent further harm to both the organization and the public.
