Pune: Shiv Sahyadri Warriors Complete 1,500 km Cycle Ride To Rameswaram Honoring Indian Armed Forces
The Pune-based group “Shiv Sahyadri Warriors” organized a 1,500 km cycling expedition this year from Pune to Rameswaram. The ride saw participation from 18 cyclists aged between 28 and 65. The journey was dedicated to honoring the soldiers of India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force, including those recently victorious in Operation Sindoor.
The special cycling expedition took place from 1st November to 9th November 2025, starting from Shri Durg Sinhagad, Pune, Maharashtra, passing through Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and concluding with a visit to Rameswaram. Along the route, the cyclists visited notable sites such as Durg Chitradurga and the Madurai Temple.
The expedition was meticulously planned by Shri Bhupendra Derwankar, Shri Sanjay Joshi, Shri Devendra More, Shri Rahul Jadhav, and Shri Vitthal Londhe, along with key participants including Nitin Shirsat, Mahesh Magdum, Adv. Punjabrao Ingle, Tanaji Vanmane, Dattatray Andalkar, Sandeep Borate, Dr. Manasingh Walunj, Mangesh Chaudhary, Dr. Gyaneshwar Kande, Karan Rajebhosale, Dhanaji Gosavi, Captain Ramdas Kadam, and others.
At the conclusion, the cyclists were warmly welcomed at the Vivekananda Centre, Kanyakumari, by the distinguished personality Shri Sunil Shri Ramullu, who presented medals to all participants. The organizers expressed their gratitude for his support in making the event a successful and memorable tribute to India’s armed forces.
