Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Fire Department dispatched three fire engines, one bulldozer, and two rescue vans. Additionally, three fire trucks, one bulldozer, and two rescue vans from PMRDA were also sent to the location to begin rescue operations without delay.
Essential equipment such as cranes, JCBs, and ambulances were arranged and deployed promptly to facilitate a “search under rescue” operation. Teams from Liygude Hospital and Kamla Nehru Hospital are actively providing on-site medical assistance. In total, three 108 ambulances and five PMC ambulances are operational at the scene.
The rescue efforts are being overseen by PMC’s Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special) Omprakash Divate, along with regional deputy commissioners, assistant municipal commissioners, engineers, and supporting personnel. Around 35–40 firefighters and 100–110 regional officers and staff are participating in the relief efforts.
Injured individuals are receiving treatment at Plus Hospital, Silver Beach Hospital, and Navale Hospital, with senior officials including Additional Municipal Commissioner (Estate) Prithviraj B.P. and Assistant Health Chief Sanjeev Wavre present along with all medical officers. Additional Municipal Commissioner (General) Pavnita Kaur is supervising all planning at the site, while Municipal Commissioner Navalkishore Ram is being updated and all operations are being carried out under his directives.
The PMC’s Disaster Management team is fully active at the site. Efforts are underway to lift the heavily damaged vehicles using cranes. Road cleaning is being carried out with fire water jets due to oil spills, although ongoing traffic is causing some hindrance to the rescue operations.
