The couple’s planned grand entry turned into an unexpected accident after decorative balloons burst mid-celebration.

A Haldi ceremony in Delhi took a dangerous turn after hydrogen balloons used as part of the couple’s entry sequence exploded, leaving both the bride and groom with burn injuries. The incident came to wider attention when the couple shared a video and an emotional note online, detailing how a popular trend quickly turned into a frightening accident.

According to their post, the bride, Tanyaa, suffered burns on her face and back, while the groom, Kushagra, received burns on his fingers and upper back. The blast also singed parts of their hair, leaving them scrambling to manage the injuries on what should have been one of their happiest days.

The couple explained that the accident happened during a coordinated moment in the entry sequence. The plan was to release hydrogen balloons first and then fire colour guns. But in the excitement of the celebration, someone pointed a colour gun directly at the balloons, triggering an instant explosion. The sudden blast caused panic in the venue as guests rushed to help.

They said timely access to treatment prevented the situation from turning worse. Doctors present among the guests and a nearby hospital helped both of them receive immediate medical care. Even with the burns and shaken nerves, the couple chose to continue their wedding functions. They said that although the day was far from perfect, they still made special memories at their varmala ceremony.

In their message, the couple urged others to avoid risky decor ideas during functions. They warned that no trend or grand entry is worth putting lives at risk, and asked families to choose safer celebration elements instead of relying on hazardous items like hydrogen balloons or pyrotechnics.
