Pune, November 27, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a  notice on November 27, 2025, directing all citizens, animal lovers, and organisations feeding stray dogs to formally register the details of feeding locations with the civic body.

According to the notice released by the Information and Public Relations Office, those feeding strays must submit an application to the Health Department, Veterinary Section, located on the 3rd floor of the PMC building. 

The application must include complete information such as the exact location where stray dogs are being fed, the time of feeding, and the approximate number of dogs being fed at the spot.

PMC has given a 15-day deadline for individuals and organisations to submit this information. 

The civic body stated that, as per the directives of the Supreme Court, designated feeding points for stray dogs will be finalised only after completing the required procedure.

The notice has been issued by Dr. Nina Borade, Health Officer, Pune Municipal Corporation.
