Tourists Thrilled as Tiger Sits Just Feet Away in Ranthambore: “A Dream Sighting”
Tourists visiting Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park witnessed a breathtaking moment when a tiger appeared just a few feet away and calmly sat on an old stone wall near the historic Ranthambore Fort. The rare sighting, captured on video by tourist Mayank Shukla, quickly went viral on social media.
The tiger was seen emerging from the bushes, pausing to look directly at tourists in a safari jeep below. To everyone’s surprise, it then settled comfortably on the wall, appearing relaxed in its natural territory. At one point, the big cat even let out a long yawn, as if its nap had been disturbed, leaving onlookers amazed.
Visitors described the moment as “magical,” “majestic,” and a “dream come true.” Many social media users compared the scene to a shot from The Jungle Book, praising the tiger’s striking presence and the cinematic beauty of the surroundings.
Ranthambore National Park, especially zones 1–5 around the fort, is known for frequent tiger sightings. Tigers often roam near ancient temples and ruins, creating unique visuals that blend wildlife with history. The area is home to popular tiger lineages, including those of Noor (T-39), Riddhi (T-124), and the iconic Machli (T-16).
The viral video continues to attract attention from wildlife lovers across the country, celebrating one of the most memorable tiger sightings of the season.
