Pune: Pramod Bhangire's Vehicle Targeted During Election Campaign In Kalepadal Area, Ward 41 Candidate Injured
Pune, January 8, 2026: An incident of stone pelting was reported during an election campaign in the Kalepadal area of Hadapsar, where unidentified individuals allegedly targeted the vehicle of Shiv Sena city chief Pramod Nana Bhanagire. The sudden attack created panic at the campaign site.
The incident took place last night during campaigning.
In the incident, Ward No. 41 Shiv Sena candidate Sarika Pawar sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed for medical treatment. Her condition is currently being monitored by doctors.
Following the incident, the Kalepadal Police Station has initiated the process of registering a case and has begun an investigation to identify those responsible for the attack. Security in the area has been heightened in view of the ongoing election campaign.
