Pimple Saudagar: Peace Valley turned election day into a community celebration on Thursday, January 15, as residents took part in the PCMC polls with enthusiasm and a strong sense of civic duty.

In the days before voting, volunteers ran an extensive door-to-door awareness drive urging residents to cast their ballots. The campaign stressed that every vote carries value and that participation strengthens democratic outcomes.

On polling day, the society organized a themed gathering under the slogan “Vote – Celebrate – Win – Inspire.” Residents assembled at 8:30 a.m. at the temple area, dressed in tricolour attire with badges. A group photo preceded a coordinated walk to nearby polling stations.

After casting their votes, residents checked in at the society gate and received snack boxes arranged by the Peace Valley Committee. The event also featured light competitions, including Fastest Voter, Youngest and Senior-most Voters, Best Attire, Most Creative Selfie, and a Lucky Draw for five participants. The aim was to encourage turnout and make the process more inclusive and enjoyable for all age groups.

Organizers said the initiative demonstrated how a residential community can take ownership of election participation and make democratic engagement both meaningful and positive.

The program was coordinated by the Peace Valley Core Committee, headed by Chairman Nitin Kardile, Secretary Shantanu Mukharjee and Treasurer Basavraj Mallade. Society Manager Bharat Bhosale, Supervisor Subhash Shirsath and the on-ground security staff handled logistics and crowd movement.

Event activities were coordinated by Hemant Bhadane, Rohit Ashtaputre, Manoj Kulkarni, Prashant Deshpande, Anand Agrawal, Uday Tibdewal, Amol Narkhede, Suraj Sadawarte and Pavan Dhande, among others.

Organizers credited the high turnout and smooth execution to resident participation, adding that the initiative showed how community-led efforts can strengthen democratic culture at the local level.
