Pune: 38-Year-Old Biker Dies After Being Hit By Truck Near Handewadi Chowk On Undri Mantarwadi Road
Pune, February 5, 2026: A 38-year-old two-wheeler rider was killed in a tragic road accident near Handewadi Chowk on the Undri Chowk–Mantarwadi Chowk road on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 11.45 am in front of Shauryawada Hotel, when the rider of a motorcycle lost control of his vehicle and fell on the road. At the same time, a white truck moving alongside ran over his head, resulting in a fatal accident.
The deceased has been identified as Azam Abdulrauf Khan (38), a resident of Kondhwa, Pune. He was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital in a private vehicle, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
API Pravin Jadhav, Kalepadal traffic division reached the spot along with police staff soon after the accident. Both the accident-involved vehicles were taken to the police station for further investigation.
Due to the incident, traffic in the area was slowed for some time but was later brought back to normal by the police.
Further investigation into the case is currently underway at Fursungi Police Station.
