IRCTC Bharat Gaurav Train To Run 9-Day Jyotirlinga Pilgrimage
Special 8-night, 9-day spiritual tour will cover key Jyotirlingas and major temples with all-inclusive packages starting Rs.18,850.
IRCTC is set to operate a special Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for an 8-night, 9-day Jyotirlinga Darshan pilgrimage, offering devotees a structured spiritual journey across multiple states.
The train will depart from Bhagalpur on March 11 and will travel via Gaya station, making it a significant opportunity for pilgrims from Gaya and nearby districts to visit several of India’s most revered religious sites under one package.
The pilgrimage is being organised with the aim of connecting citizens to India’s cultural and spiritual heritage, while also promoting domestic religious tourism through Bharat Gaurav trains.
Key destinations included in the tour are:
Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in Madhya Pradesh
Somnath and Nageshwar Jyotirlingas in Gujarat
Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka
Akshardham Temple in Ahmedabad
To accommodate different budgets, IRCTC has introduced three travel categories:
Economy Class: ₹18,850
Standard Class: ₹33,995
Comfort Class: ₹41,990
The fare covers an all-inclusive experience, including meals, accommodation, local transport and guided temple visits.
Pilgrims will be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with bus services for local sightseeing. The journey will also feature bhajans, evening prayers and religious programmes, creating a complete devotional atmosphere throughout the tour.
IRCTC official has stated that the trip will be conducted under the supervision of a trained tour manager, with arrangements for safety, sanitation and medical assistance to ensure a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience for all passengers.
