A young resident from Pune holds a handwritten placard expressing gratitude to UAE leaders and officials before leaving Dubai for vacation.
A touching moment at Dubai International Airport has captured widespread attention after a young girl from Pune expressed her gratitude to the United Arab Emirates and its authorities through a handwritten message.
Tanishka Veer, who lives with her family in Dubai, held up a placard thanking the country and its leaders while departing for India during her school vacation. The young girl, originally from Wonder City Society in Katraj, Pune, wrote the message as a gesture of appreciation for the safety and care she experienced while living in the UAE.
Her handwritten note was addressed to Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and expressed thanks for the courteous and respectful behaviour of passport control officials at the airport.
The message also conveyed her appreciation to the leadership of the UAE for ensuring safety and stability during the ongoing regional tensions.
In her note, Tanishka thanked the country for protecting residents and maintaining security. She also expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as well as Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Her message read:
“Thank you to the United Arab Emirates for protecting us.
You have provided us with protection day and night.
I heard loud sounds from my window, but the UAE fighter forces and police kept us safe.
Thank you to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. We love you.
Thank you, United Arab Emirates.
Thank you, Emirates!”
Tanishka’s father, Ashish Veer, an engineer working with an airline company in Dubai, explained that the family had travelled to India for a planned vacation during the school term break. He added that they would return to Dubai after the holidays and confirmed that the situation in the city remains stable.
Her grandfather Rajaram Veer said the family felt extremely proud of the young girl for expressing gratitude at such a young age.
The heartfelt gesture quickly resonated with many people online, with many praising the young girl’s message as a reminder of the bond shared by residents and the country they call home.
The simple act of appreciation has now become a symbol of kindness, showing how even a small gesture can reflect gratitude and strengthen connections between cultures and communities.
