Pune: Canal Overflow Floods Parts of Manjari Budruk, Water Enters Homes Triggering Panic
Pune, March 18, 2026:
A canal overflow incident created chaos in parts of Pune on Tuesday night, as water from the old Mutha River canal inundated areas of Manjari Budruk.
The overflow from the Mundhwa jack well led to severe waterlogging in the Gopal Patti area.
Water entered several homes, causing panic among residents and disrupting normal life.
Locals reported that the sudden rise in water levels caught many off guard, leading to damage to household belongings.
Authorities are yet to assess the full extent of the impact.
